The ported snaffle bit by Beris can be placed perfectly in the horse’s mouth. The ported mouthpiece ensures the horse’s tongue gets enough space because of the flattened area on the port. Many horses react to this with more relaxation and chewing because of the extra tongue room and because of it this bit is perfect for horses that won’t tolerate pressure on the tongue and react with head shaking and such.
The ported snaffle bit is also a good choice for horses that like to play with their tongue and get it over the bit, the port will help to prevent that by removing pressure on the centre of the tongue. The port is 30mm height.
The smaller the rings, the faster and more direct the influence of the rider’s hand to the horses mouth. The bigger the rings, the softer and slower the influence of the hand to the horses mouth. The loose rings move through copper sleeves, making the action effortless and also improves the durability of the bit tremendously.
