- The tongue port bar has an especially flattened shape to the port. This gives the tongue optimum room. Many horses respond to this with improved suppleness and increased chewing. This bit is also very well suited to horses that play with their tongues, trying to get their tongue over the bit, as the port effectively prevents this. This mouthpiece is thus eminently suited to horses that do not tolerate traditionally shaped bits due to the pressure on the tongue and react by head-shaking or similar. The Pelham- a classic bit, now in our more elegant and enhanced design. When the reins are applied, the bit acts on the mouth, lower jaw and poll. Depending on lever length of the shanks (5 cm or 7.5 cm), a varying strength and direct bit angulation in the mouth is achievable. Potential use on horses that have difficulties coming through at the poll, “hot” horses, or on horses that need significant input in critical situations (such as jump offs or similar). The Pelham is supplied with curb hooks.

The innovative design of the mouthpiece also ensures a better acceptance of the bit and facilitates subtle communication between horse and rider. The Beris mouthpieces are made of a food safe plastic compound, processed and with a surface finish unequalled so far in the field of plastic bits. Their surface is very smooth and they slide easily in the mouth, even if the horse doesn´t produce much saliva. Practically all horses like our mouthpieces. Returns
We don't manage the stock at our warehouse and factory. The actual inventory can change at any moment. Be aware that your order will be unable to fill once you've placed your order.
The policy is for 30 days. Unfortunately, if 30 days have passed since you purchased your item, we cannot give you a refund or exchange.
In order to be eligible for a refund the item must be unused and in the same condition as you received it. It must also still be in the original package.
